Evan's Surgery Page
Evan pre-op. We had to get up way too early for our night-owl family.
Here he is immediately after his surgery. He's pretty well drugged up at this point. He's covered in towels because he was puking from the pain and anesthesia. Yuck!
Two days post-op and still pretty miserable. They needed to change his bed so they moved him to the lovely chair that converted to a bed for me. If I ever win the lottery, I'm donating more comfortable parent beds to Riley hospital.
Four days post-op. He finally got his IV taken out and he was feeling much better. He didn't approve of the hospital food, so Grandpa supplied him with a Wendy's chicken nugget fix.
Here is his scar, all fifty-two stitches of it, four days post-op.
Here is his scar at home. We put the band aids over the bottom of it so he could wear underwear and pants.
His left foot now almost looks like his right one. The left toes had started to claw up from his nerves being tethered. It is encouraging to see this immediate improvement.
